These bars are designed for various applications, ranging from general boring to specialized micro-boring for small-diameter holes in industries like Machining, Boringm Facing ,electronics and medical technology.
Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder, as well as internal facing cuts and is the most versatile type of boring bar, and uses the same inserts as the external SCLCR tool holders.
These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.
